Shed skin

This day was her first day of shedding skin :) She was very ugly, totally white but then later a very nice new skin revieled itself. God how facinating mother nature CAN be. (without carbon dioxides in the air).

A new day, a new post

Hey viewers

I woke up this morning, overslept but I made it in time for work. This is my second week at my summer job. Im working at a cafe, "Emmas Café" it's called.

One day further in the summer break, and soon Ill beginning to build the new terrarium for Melonia, the chameleon if you don't know ;). It's going to be in wood, net and glass. 130 cm high and be filled with living plants :). It will be fun!

Now Im sitting next to my girlfriend watching telly and looking at pictures on chams, as usual hehe.

Melonias' life, until now

Hi all, thinking of blogging about my veiled chameleon, Melonia. She is about 5 months old and what a beauty like Steve Erwin always said.

4 months old
This is the first picture of her, in the reptile market. Me and my girlfriend found her in this little plastic faunarium. I always wanted a cham so what the h*ll. :)
I didn't realize that i did kind of a mistake, no terrarium, Dammit.
So i went home with my little creature in my plastic box and the idea struck me my citrus tree!.

*Perfect*!

She loved it, on the top lamp i got the UVB and UVA light
underneath the "heating" lamp. The temperature is exactly perfekt.
The humidity is quite low i thought for a while when i put my Exo-Terra humidity meeter by the branches it was around 40-50%. Quite good.

After 2 days of basking and sleeping in the escape-proof tree i bought a temporary sleep terrarium from Exo-Terras collection of screen terrariums. My thought was ONLY temporary and she outgrew it too quick. I realized she liked the tree alot more than that stinkin' small, narrow place.

Here she is at her last night in her small home, though she felt calm and comfortable.

Eating a gut-loaded and crunchy cricket :)

I have had her now for a month, she is still wandering active around in my growing citrus tree having no stress at all. She eats 5-6 cricks a day and basking around 7 hours a day. I mist her with my spray bottle almost 5 times a day and she drinks normal. Soon she'll be five months old and got a long way to get fully size. Today my bro was here so we could take some awsome pics. Enjoy the watch!

Thank you for reading and looking around, ill keep the blog updated! :)
